How we make it happen.

Our iterative process consists of four phases: Discovery, Design, Development and Deployment. From start to finish, goals and objectives are shaped and refined with stakeholder participation throughout.

Discovery

Our Discovery process starts with requirements gathering to reveal the goals and challenges of the project through scheduled meetings, interviews, investigation and research with key stakeholders. We document these challenges, test our assumptions and articulate solutions through reports, site maps, wireframes and user testing. Findings during the Discovery phase are documented, reviewed and refined with all key stakeholders in the form of a Web Site Specifications Document (WSD).

Design

Static, non-functional prototypes referred to as Visual Composites (VCs) are created based on Discovery findings. Homepage, Level 1 and Level 2 pages are designed to communicate the overall look and feel, concept, message, tone, image, typographic usage and positioning of all of key navigational, functional and promotional elements. Existing brand identity guidelines are utilized or refreshed to maintain brand consistency and establish a unified online presence. Design directions are reviewed and refined, leading to the final direction for rollout.

Development

Upon completion of the Design phase, our development team begins coding HTML and CSS. The resulting pages are then authenticated for "XHTML 1.0" and then presented for review of the key functional pages via the Beta Site. On approval of our findings in the technical document and page templates, tasks are multi-tracked based on required technologies and expertise – engineers begin development of the database, developers begin coding as needed required functionality and content population.

Deployment

Deployment of the site begins upon completion of the Beta Site Walk-Through & UAT (User Acceptance Testing). Final updates and bug fixes are made, master files, inventory and licenses are migrated and tested on client side servers for publishing on the public server(s). All client side information required for site analytics software are integrated to the Web site pages to ensure proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In addition to the site, training materials are created and on-site / off-site training sessions are scheduled with site administrators.
